Michelle Kobitowich

Acupuncturist

Hi! My name is Michelle Kobitowich, and I am the Doctor of Acupuncture at Movenetics. I earned my Acupuncture Diploma from MacEwan University, where I also previously completed my Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Management. Since graduating, I have done training in Advanced Myofascial Techniques, become certified in Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Acupuncture, and am currently pursuing the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certificate. My treatments also utilize the wide range of techniques and modalities encompassed in Traditional Chinese Medicine—needling, cupping, Tuina massage, GuaSha, auricular, and electro-stimulation.
In 2020, I was working in the car industry not entirely sure of my future or what I was passionate about. That’s when I met Mike, the owner of Movenetics, as a physio patient of his prior to him opening the clinic. I admired the way he cared for me and made me feel heard. This inspired me to make a big change and go back to school. My love for people developed into a passion to help, and I feel incredibly grateful that I get to do so. Even more so since it has come full circle with me working for Mike!
I was drawn to acupuncture in particular, because of its profound ability to support healing on every level—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—offering care for the whole person, no matter how small of ailment it may be. While the list of concerns that acupuncture can treat is seemingly endless, some of the more common treatments address pain, digestion, migraines, insomnia, mental health, and gynaecology.
On a more personal note, in my spare time I enjoy golfing, cheering on the Oilers, and spending time with my family! I also have a strong sense of wanderlust, so you will never bore me with conversation about travel or adventure. I’m looking forward to meeting you and want you to know that no matter how small you’ve been made to feel your concern is, you matter and we’re here to help.
